Cheesy Chicken Twist Pastries


📌 Ingredients:

1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)

150g shredded cooked chicken (you can replace with tuna, turkey, or ham)

1 medium tomato, finely chopped

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped

100g shredded mozzarella cheese

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 egg (for brushing)


🥐 Preparation Steps:

  1. Prepare the Filling:
    In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, chopped tomato, onion, bell pepper, mayonnaise, salt, and black pepper. Add mozzarella cheese and mix well until combined.
  2. Prepare the Pastry:
    Unroll the puff pastry sheet and cut it into rectangular strips.
  3. Fill and Twist:
    Place some filling in the center of each strip.
    Fold the pastry over the filling and gently twist the ends to form a spiral shape.
  4. Arrange and Brush:
    Place the pastry rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
    Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  5. Bake:
    Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden and crispy.
  6. Serve:
    Serve warm! They are perfect for breakfast, snacks, or tea time. ✨
