Crispy Garlic Potato Patties Recipe

🥔 Ingredients

4 medium potatoes (peeled and boiled)

2 tablespoons butter (melted)

1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

1 egg

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plus extra for coating)

2–3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Oil for frying

Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes

Mash the boiled potatoes in a large bowl until smooth and lump-free.

Step 2: Mix Ingredients

Add butter, cheese, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, paprika, egg, breadcrumbs, and flour. Mix everything well until you get a soft dough.

Step 3: Shape the Patties

Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into oval or round patties. Lightly coat each patty with breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.

Step 4: Fry Until Golden

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the patties for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

Step 5: Serve

Remove from the pan and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
