Banana Bread with Cream Cheese Filling Recipe
Ingredients
For the Banana Bread:
2 ripe bananas (mashed)
2 large eggs
½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
¾ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
For the Cream Cheese Filling:
8 oz (225g) cream cheese (softened)
¼ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg

Step 1: Prepare the Oven and Pan
Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).
Grease a loaf pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Prepare the Banana Mixture
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
Add eggs, oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
Whisk everything together until well combined and creamy.
Step 3: Mix the Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
Mix well to distribute all ingredients evenly.
Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture.
Stir gently using a spatula until just combined.
Do not overmix to keep the bread soft and moist.
Step 5: Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling
In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and egg.
Mix until creamy and lump-free.
Step 6: Assemble the Bread
Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared pan.
Spread it evenly.
Add the cream cheese mixture on top and smooth it carefully.
Cover with the remaining banana batter.
Step 7: Bake the Bread
Place the pan in the preheated oven.
Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Step 8: Cooling
Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 15 minutes.
Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
