Strawberry Creamy Yogurt Dessert
📝 Ingredients:
2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
2 cups plain yogurt (or strawberry yogurt for extra flavor)
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, for thicker texture)
1/2 cup water (to dissolve cornstarch)
Ice cubes (optional, for a refreshing drink version)
👩🍳 Instructions:
Prepare the strawberries:
Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Remove the green tops and cut them into small pieces. Set aside a few slices for decoration later.
Make the creamy base:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix well using a whisk or hand mixer until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
Optional thickening step:
If you want a thicker dessert texture, dissolve the cornstarch in 1/2 cup of water. Pour this mixture into a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens slightly. Let it cool completely before adding it to the yogurt mixture.
Combine everything:
Add the chopped strawberries into the yogurt mixture. Stir gently so the fruit is evenly distributed throughout the creamy base.
Blend (optional):
For a smoother texture, you can blend part of the mixture and leave some strawberry chunks for texture. This step depends on your preference.
Chill the dessert:
Cover the bowl and place it in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours. This helps the flavors blend together and gives a refreshing taste.
Serve:
Pour the mixture into serving glasses. Add ice cubes if you prefer it as a cold drink. Garnish with fresh strawberry slices on top for a beautiful presentation.
💡 Tips:
You can add a little honey instead of sugar for a healthier option.
For a richer taste, replace milk with cream.
Serve very cold for the best flavor, especially in hot weather.
