a soft, fluffy homemade milk bread


🥖 Ingredients:

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup warm milk

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon yeast (active dry or instant)

1 egg

3 tablespoons butter (softened)

1/2 teaspoon salt

(Optional) 1 tablespoon milk for brushing


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Activate the yeast
    In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  2. Prepare the dough
    Add the egg, softened butter, and salt. Mix well.
    Gradually add the flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough
    Knead for about 8–10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. First rise
    Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.
  5. Shape the bread
    Divide the dough into 3–4 equal pieces, shape them into balls, and place them in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Second rise
    Cover and let it rise again for 30–45 minutes.
  7. Bake
    Brush the top with milk (optional).
    Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool and serve
    Let it cool slightly, then slice and enjoy your soft, fluffy bread!
