a soft, fluffy homemade milk bread
🥖 Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon yeast (active dry or instant)
1 egg
3 tablespoons butter (softened)
1/2 teaspoon salt
(Optional) 1 tablespoon milk for brushing

- Activate the yeast
In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until it becomes foamy. - Prepare the dough
Add the egg, softened butter, and salt. Mix well.
Gradually add the flour and mix until a soft dough forms. - Knead the dough
Knead for about 8–10 minutes until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. - First rise
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1–1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size. - Shape the bread
Divide the dough into 3–4 equal pieces, shape them into balls, and place them in a greased loaf pan. - Second rise
Cover and let it rise again for 30–45 minutes. - Bake
Brush the top with milk (optional).
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown. - Cool and serve
