👩‍🍳 How to Make Chocolate Lava Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, mix until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix until dough forms.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Cut dark chocolate into small cubes.
  8. Take 2 tablespoons of dough, flatten, place chocolate cube in the center, cover with more dough and shape into a ball.
  9. Place cookies on tray and press extra chocolate chips on top.
  10. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but center is soft.
  11. Let cool for 10 minutes — the chocolate inside will stay molten.

🔥 Pro Tips

Do not overbake — the lava center stays gooey when slightly underbaked.
