1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup (200g) brown sugar
½ cup (100g) white granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
¾ cup (75g) cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup (180g) chocolate chips
150g dark chocolate (for filling)

👩🍳 How to Make Chocolate Lava Cookies
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mix until smooth.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix until dough forms.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Cut dark chocolate into small cubes.
- Take 2 tablespoons of dough, flatten, place chocolate cube in the center, cover with more dough and shape into a ball.
- Place cookies on tray and press extra chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but center is soft.
- Let cool for 10 minutes — the chocolate inside will stay molten.
