Golden Honey Paste
🟡 Ingredients
2 tablespoons turmeric powder (or freshly grated turmeric)
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, finely grated
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 cup raw honey
Optional:
A pinch of black pepper (to enhance turmeric absorption)
🥄 Instructions (Detailed Preparation Method)
To begin with, prepare all your ingredients by ensuring they are fresh and of high quality. If you are using fresh turmeric root instead of powder, peel and finely grate it using a small grater. Do the same with the fresh ginger, making sure it is finely grated to allow it to blend smoothly into the mixture.
Next, take a clean mixing bowl and add the turmeric and grated ginger. Sprinkle in the ground cinnamon and mix these dry and semi-dry ingredients together until they are evenly combined. This step helps distribute the flavors before adding the liquid components.
After that, slowly pour in the fresh lemon juice. Stir continuously as you add it to ensure that the mixture starts forming a paste. The lemon juice not only adds a refreshing tangy flavor but also helps balance the strong taste of turmeric and ginger.
Now, gradually add the raw honey into the mixture. It is important to add the honey little by little while stirring constantly. This allows you to control the texture and achieve a smooth, thick consistency. Continue mixing until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture becomes homogeneous and slightly creamy.
If you choose to include black pepper, add just a small pinch at this stage and mix well. Although optional, black pepper is often recommended because it enhances the absorption of turmeric in the body.
Once your mixture is ready, transfer it into a clean glass jar with a tight lid. Make sure the jar is dry and sterilized to preserve the freshness of the mixture. Use a spoon to press the mixture gently and remove any air bubbles.
Seal the jar and store it in the refrigerator. This natural blend can typically last for up to two weeks when properly stored.
💡 How to Use
You can take one teaspoon daily, either on its own or mixed into warm water or tea. It can also be added to smoothies for an extra health boost.
