Creamy Garlic Chicken with Broccoli and Rice

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic (minced)

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

For the Broccoli:

2 cups fresh broccoli florets

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

2 tablespoons butter

3 cloves garlic (minced)

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley)

For Serving:

2 cups cooked white rice


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Rice

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  2. Set aside and keep warm.

Step 2: Cook the Broccoli

  1. Steam or boil the broccoli for 3–5 minutes until tender but still bright green.
  2. Season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Chicken

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  4. Add minced garlic during the last minute of cooking.
  5. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Slice the chicken into strips.

Step 4: Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce

  1. In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and parsley.
  5. Stir until the sauce thickens (about 3–5 minutes).

Step 5: Assemble the Dish

  1. Place cooked rice in a bowl.
  2. Add steamed broccoli on one side.
  3. Arrange sliced grilled chicken on top.
  4. Drizzle generously with creamy garlic sauce.
  5. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.

Tips

You can substitute brown rice or cauliflower rice for a healthier option.

Add chili flakes for a spicy version.

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes before cooking.
